10/07/2017: Lincolnshire Sportshall Athletics County Champions!

On Sunday, our athletics squad travelled to Grantham to take part in the Lincolnshire School Games. Having previously won two rounds to get to the games, we were ready for the challenge from the other Lincs regional winners.

Amelie, Erin, Keira, Molly, Aoife, Esme, Caitlin, Alakah, Scarlett, Poppy, Max, Sam, Oskar, Anthony, Ben, Thomas, Archie, Benjie, Jamie and Leo demonstrated superb skills, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. We were immensely proud of their support for one another as they tackled their runs, jumps and throws with 100% effort.

Miss Cross, Mr Goddard and the squad were particularly grateful to Archie who joined the team last minute, and Poppy who was drafted in from her place at the hockey pitch to take part in a sprint relay due to another player being injured. Also to Erin who, despite her commitment to the English Youth Ballet, gave up part of her day to compete for St Gilbert's. We couldn't have done it without you - you performed admirably - thank you.

The atmosphere was electric as the day unfolded. We were absolutely thrilled to be announced as winners at such a prestigious event!

Thank you to all involved, especially our wonderfully supportive parents who seemed to enjoy the day as much as the pupils and staff!

19/05/2017: Girls' Football

On Thursday, the year 5/6 girls' football team played a tournament at St Augustine’s Primary School. The girls played 4 games in total and finished a very successful joint third. Considering they had never played as a team before, they showed fantastic skill and teamwork. Thank you for the support from the parents and helping with transport.

02/05/2017: Shona McCallin Inspires us all!

Last Wednesday, we were very lucky to have a visit from GB gold medalist hockey player, Shona McCallin! We heard all about her team triumph in the 2016 Rio Olympics, watched some of her amazing videos and we even got a sneaky peek at her gold medal! Thank you for your visit, and to Inspire + for organising!
