Attendance
St. Gilbert’s is a welcoming and friendly church school. Our pupils receive a good-quality education from staff who are fully committed to the school and its community, and who have high expectations of all pupils. Parents and Carers are keen for their children to achieve their full potential, they fully support the school and recognise that excellent attendance is the key to their child’s ongoing success and that it will ultimately prepare them effectively for the future.
It is a legal requirement that registered pupils of compulsory school age attend school regularly and punctually. We expect regular and punctual attendance, even when the difficulties of individual pupils and families are recognised.
To this end, St. Gilbert’s are committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve maximum possible attendance and attach a high priority to conveying to parents and pupils the importance of regular and punctual attendance.
