St Gilbert's Parents' and Teachers' Association
All parents and teachers belong to St Gilbert's PTA and although there is a core committee of chairperson, treasurer, secretary and two ‘officers’ we welcome everyone to get involved. The more the merrier!
Whatever commitment you can make is always greatly appreciated. Coming up with fundraising ideas, helping with refreshments at school events, securing raffle prizes, manning a stall at a fair or even managing a large event are really appreciated.
Even shopping online can raise money for the PTA (see “easyfundraising” below).
We are all volunteers and without willing parents and carers to help we would not be able to put on any social and fundraising events. The money we raise benefits every child in the school. Please do support our PTA so that your child can benefit from the added extras that contribute towards making St Gilbert's such a special and thriving school.
We are always looking for new and exciting activities to raise money. If you have any ideas, however extravagant or insignificant you think they may be, don't let them go to waste – let us know!
The PTA exists to provide closer links between home and school. It is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working together towards a common goal
Activities for this school year
We recognise that not everyone is able to get into school regularly so we provide information about the PTA and activities in numerous ways. All PTA Events are included in Miss Dicker's diary dates sent out every term via ParentMail.
Requests for donations to the Summer and Christmas Fair, Bags to School, raffle tickets, Christmas card purchases (and other similar fund-raisers) are sent home with the children in their book bags.
The PTA notice board (on the wall to the left of the school office at the bottom of top playground) has copies of minutes from meetings as well as notices for forthcoming events.
How you can help today

Your help would be much appreciated for the following:
